DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Q: When think about eternity, does it fill you with hope or dread? Why?
Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational mission) in everyday life?
Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from just knowing to actually doing in your life?
Connect with God (UP)...
Q: Read Acts 24. What are some differences that you see between Jesus’ Way & the way of the world?
Q: Why do you think Paul specifies “a resurrection of both the righteous & the wicked” (v15)?
Q: Paul could’ve been scared or even mad at God for being in this situation. Why do you think he had such calm confidence?
Connect with Others(IN)...
Q: Read Acts 24:23. This seems like such a small verse, but why do you think it’s important? How can we live this out for each other within the local & global Church?
Connect with the World (OUT)...
Q: Felix & his wife are curious & wanted to hear more about Jesus’ Way, but when they got into details that effected their lives, they drew back. How can we share the Gospel in ways that connects with the world around us without watering it down or taking the heart out of it?
NOTES & QUOTES:
“To these ‘religious’ leaders, politics, position and power had become more important than God.” (Life Application Study Bible)
“The road of God’s providence may contain much difficulty, but we walk along it with God. The path of discipleship will come with pangs and sorrows, trials and suffering, but it is a glorious way that leads to the City of God and hearing those longed-for words, ‘Well done good and faithful servant!’” (Acts For You)
ACTION STEPS:
1) What is the “way” of your life?
2) What are the eternal implications of your “way”?
