BIG IDEA:

God always has & always will reveal His salvation to the world. It’s up

to us to accept or reject it.

SCRIPTURES:

Acts 6:8-7:53, Luke 21:15, Isaiah 66:1-2

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Q: Have you ever told the truth about something, only to be rejected or ridiculed for it?

Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational mission) in everyday life?

Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from just knowing to actually doing in your life?

Connect with God (UP)...

Q: Read today’s passage. Obviously the Holy Spirit empowered him to speak so boldly & clearly. How do you think God prepared him for this event to where he could see how the whole old covenant pointed to the New Covenant in Jesus?

Q: The hearts of the people were constantly “turned back to Egypt” (old patterns, practices, etc.). What are some of your “Egypt’s”?

Q: Why is Acts 7:48-50 so key in understanding what it really means to worship & serve God? Do you ever try to put God into a box?

Connect with Others(IN)...

Q: How can we as a church constantly point each other & those around us to Jesus, instead of creating idols & barriers between us & God?

Connect with the World (OUT)...

Q: How can we share the presence & salvation of Jesus with those around us in practical, tangible ways?

ACTION STEPS:

1) Examine how I am responding to God’s presence & will in my life.

2) Boldly & lovingly share the Good News with someone this week. (Seriously!)

NOTES & QUOTES:

”When Christians prioritize comfort over Truth, it will always lead to compromise.”
