Galatians - Christ Alone 12: The A-Team (March 22, 2026)

TODAY:

Galatians - Christ Alone Part 12: The A-Team

BIG IDEA:

The Church family is meant to live out the Gospel mission with & to each other

SCRIPTURES:

Galatians 6:1-6, John 13:34-35, Matthew 18:15-17, 7:1-5

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Q: What would you say the “mission” of your life is?

Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational mission) in everyday life?

Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from just knowing to actually doing in your life?

Connect with God (UP)...

Q: Read Galatians 6:1-6. At first glance this section doesn’t seem to talk a lot about our connection with God. But why is a strong connection with God so important to living this out well?

Q: What can happen to our relationships with others if we neglect our relationship with God?

Connect with Others(IN)...

Q: Have you ever taken this passage literally & either soughtto lovingly “restore” someone who was “caught in a sin”? Or have you ever been on the receiving end of this?If so, what went well & what didn’t go well?

Q: The fact that Paul characterizes how to do this well 7 different ways shows that extreme care needs to be taken. When you deal with conflict or differences within the church family, how much time do you give to making sure you’re doing it in a Biblical, Jesus-honoring, Spirit-led way?

Connect with the World (OUT)...

Q: How can we as a church take this passage to heart & live it out in a way that demonstrates the power of the Gospel to the world around us?

Q: How is this way different from how the world tends to handle things like this?

NOTES & QUOTES:

“Pride creates a heart that resists giving and/or receiving generosity and grace.”

“Paul follows the all-important passage about life in the Spirit with a very practical section. He says nothing about signs and wonders, and he does not go into detail about spiritual gifts. He talks about how the community of faith operates when the Spirit is leading. This is often overlooked: life in the Spirit involves healthy relationships within the body of Christ.” (Christ-Centered Exposition)

“The body suffers when a member is broken. This church is not just a charitable organization (that does) great work. By its nature, the church is something different. We are brothers and sisters, adopted into God’s family, knit together by the Holy Spirit in a common fellowship. We must seek the spiritual welfare of one another.” (Christ-Centered Exposition)

ACTION STEPS

1) Are there any areas of brokenness outside or inside of the church that you can lovingly engage?

2) Do you have any areas of brokenness that you need to ask for help with?

3) How can you focus on “walking in step with the Spirit” so that you won’t fall into the trap of sin, too?
