Jason Quiring

Lead Pastor

Jason grew up as a farm kid in Nebraska while Nicole grew up a church-planter’s kid in Houston. Their worlds collided in college and they’ve been married for over 25 years. Following college they spent seven years in student and family ministry in Oklahoma. As God began to stir new passions in their life they moved to Utah where they were in student ministry for two and a half more years. God continued to disrupt their plans and thinking about the Church and they began to dream about what it could look like to live out the Good News in Northern Utah County in new ways. While there, they also fell in love with the people, the culture and the amazing landscape that Utah has to offer. The Quiring's moved back to Nebraska while Jason worked on his masters degree and served/taught in the local church; all the while playing “farmhand” on the family farm. They both spent those four years discerning the future and investing in lives in that context. Jason and Nicole moved back to Utah with their four kids during the summer of 2013 and planted the Greenhouse Community Church. Whether living in Oklahoma, Utah or Nebraska it’s always been a desire and passion of theirs to get to know people, know their stories and to wrestle with tangible ways to love God, love people and serve the world. They love having their doors open to people and strive to just be real with whatever life brings. Jason is a stranger to no one and enjoys hiking, being in the mountains, being around sports, and talking over a great cup of coffee. Nicole is a 4th grade teacher and loves a good book, a day by the pool, chips and salsa and laughing daily. Their family’s interests range from sports, time in the mountains, skiing/boarding, vacations to the beach and much more. They’re adjusting to a new stage of life with three of the four kids away at college, so their times together take on a new significance and meaning.

Drew Pankratz

Youth & Associate Pastor

dpankratz5@gmail.com

Drew grew up in rural Kansas and graduated from Tabor College in 2015, where he met his wife Allie. Upon their marriage in 2016, they felt the Lord stirring a desire to join in with the work God was doing in Northern Utah County and within the life of Greenhouse Community Church. Currently, Drew works as the Youth & Associate Pastor at the Greenhouse and finds great joy in seeing students & adults pursue personal relationships with Jesus. He also teaches PE part-time at Harvest Elementary and is pursuing a Masters Degree at Midwestern Seminary. Allie has been teaching for 8 years and currently teaches 6th Grade at Harbor Point Elementary in south Saratoga. They are proud parents of two daughters, Audrey & Lyndi, who keep their lives pink, busy and fun! Together they enjoy walks & parks, coffee runs, rooting on their favorite sports teams (Go Chiefs & Jayhawks!), and eating good food with friends. They are passionate about Jesus, desire to serve His Church, and walk alongside people wherever they are in their faith journey.

Rich Smith

Worship Pastor

Rich & Karen met when Rich spent his first year after college teaching in a small community in northeast Montana where Karen grew up.  After 4 years of friendship, across continents and opposite sides of the country, they finally realized they might be more than friends.  Over 30 years later, the city boy from St. Louis and the farm girl from Montana are still married with three adult daughters. Rich has been in ministry most of his adult life, leading youth, music and kids ministries in Oklahoma and Utah.  He spent 10 years working for Starbucks as a manager (ministering through the blessed coffee bean), and joined Greenhouse staff after several years volunteering with worship.  Karen has run her own cleaning business for several years, but says being Mom is still her top priority.  Together they love a hike in the mountains, conjuring up some yummy food together, bingeing a good show, reading.  And the constant search for the perfect homemade salsa.  They LOVE the Greenhouse family, and are grateful to be part of a group of people striving to know God better and live for Him in the community we call home.
