  2. Imagine your relationship with God like close friend/family. What are the effects of not being completely honest about our hurts and struggles? How can we share those honestly & productively?

  3. Have you ever lodged a direct "formal complaint" anywhere? If so, how did you do that? Did it make you think through your thoughts before you shared them? What effect did that have?

  4. How is a Psalm of Lament different from a random vent or gripe session on social media?

  5. Why is the "expression of trust" & "promise of praise" so critical to our lamenting process?

  6. Is it OK to just have the "complaint" & "request" - but not the "trust" or "praise"? Why or why not?
