Galatians 4: 21-31 / Genesis 16: 1-12 / Genesis 17: 2-7, 15-19
Isaiah 54: 1-6 / 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 / Luke 15: 11-32
Have you ever relied on your morality, religious performance or all-around "goodness" to get you closer to God (or whatever else)?
Have you ever felt like a "lost cause" or an "impossible case" like Sarah? Why?
Have you ever seen God do something seemingly impossible in our life or in the lives of people around you?
Read 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. How do you (really) feel about this passage? How have you seen it in your life? How would you like to see it in your life?
Does your life match up with your answer of "would you rather be slave or free?" How/ why not?
Can you see yourself in either the prodigal son or the legalistic brother in Luke 15? What does this reveal about our freedom or slavery?
How does surrendering to freedom in Jesus help you grow as a disciple who loves God, loves people and serves the world?
